Quick And Easy Cooking

This is a recipe that is so inexpensive to make and very easy. 

I estimate that I spent a little more than $3 to make this meal because I added cheese to it.  I purchased the boxed scalloped potatoes for $.50 (with a coupon)  and the ground beef was about $2.50.  I have been having trouble finding ground beef on sale for quite a while.  I think the going price is about $2.58 right now.  :::sigh:::  I’m hoping for a good sale so that I can stock up.

Ingredients

1 lb of ground beef

1 box of cheesy scalloped potatoes

shredded cheese (optional)

mushrooms (optional)

can of corn (optional)

Instructions

Brown ground beef in a skilled.  Drain.  Prepare the scalloped potatoes in a casserole dish according to package directions.   Add the ground beef.  Add mushrooms, corn, if you like.  Stir well.

Bake according to scalloped potatoes instructions.  Add shredded cheese and bake until melted.

Allow to cool and then serve.  This photo does not like this dish look very appetizing, but this really is a delicious dish.
