Lazy Sunday

Published by pattye at 1:46 am under Other Edit This

Yesterday I planned to try another new recipe.  It didn’t happen.  The recipe calls for making a bread dough which needs to rise.  I just didn’t have the energy to do it though.  It’s not making the dough that will be the issue.  It is the rolling out of the dough.  I hate rolling out dough.  I’m not good at it, so that’s probably why I don’t like doing it.  I will probably do it later in the week, when I have LESS time. I know, it doesn’t make sense to do it when I have less time but that is what will happen.  I think I will make the dough in my bread maker because that should be easier than using a mixer like the recipe instructions say to do.  I will keep you posted on how this works out.

I decided to do the easiest dinner of all and that is picking it up from a restaurant.  I had Chili 5-way.  My husband had a double cheeseburger, french fries and we split some onion rings. We really don’t eat out that often because it’s at least an hour round trip just going to town and coming back home.  We normally go shopping along with the eating out just to make it worth the trip. I needed to pick up a few items to prepare for the impending snow storm, so decided to pick up dinner on the way home.  It definitely is nice to take a night off from cooking.

That sounds an awful bit like a Steak n Shake meal. LOL Where’d you eat??
And of course now I’m hungry!

You guessed it. It was Steak N Shake. LOL Have you ever made your own 5-Way Chili for your family? It’s a great way to use leftover chili and it’s a nice change of pace.

Are you ready for the snow? I think I am probably an hour or less from you. I’m in Robertsville which is near Pacific.
