Spiced-Up Hamburger Helper
My husband and I eat a lot of Hamburger Helper. Why? It’s an inexpensive meal. I stock up when it is on sale for $1.00 a box. I try to add coupons to that and can buy it for $.50 to $.75. There are only two of us, so it’s a nice sized meal for us. I usually serve a salad and garlic bread or Texas toast with it.
I like to jazz up our Hamburger Helper. My husband prefers the Cheeseburger flavor. Last night, I added some minced garlic to the ground beef. I then added a few slices of jalapenos to the meal as it is simmering. I keep a jar of sliced jalapenos in my refrigerator and I add it to many meals. The jalapenos definitely give it a kick. Sometimes I add additional cheese to the meal. I have also added corn to it. The jalapenos are our favorite though.
If your family is tired of the same old Hamburger Helper, you should try adding things to it. It really does make it taste like a whole new meal.
Enjoy!
