Quick And Easy Cooking

This is a recipe that is so easy to make.  My husband asked if it was homemade.  I told him it didn’t come out of a box, but if you are asking if I made the noodles, no the noodles came out of a box.

INGREDIENTS

1 pkg. Macaroni & Cheese Boxed Dinner

1 lb.  ground beef

1 pkg. (1.25 oz.) Taco Seasoning Mix

1 cup Mild Salsa

Heat oven to 400ºF. Prepare macaroni and cheese as directed on package. Cook meat with taco seasoning.

Layer seasoned meat, macaroni and cheese and salsa in 8-inch sq. baking dish.*

BAKE 20 min.

We like jalapenos, so I sometimes add those on top as well as sour cream.

This makes 6 servings, 1 cup each

*Yep, I’m a rebel.  I used a round dish because I don’t have a square one.   I also put a layer of the mac and cheese, then meat and then salsa and repeated those layers instead of just doing one layer of each.  You can do it either way.  Cooking is about experimenting.  Have fun with it!
